Rahab Ministry is a ministry of compassion geared towards empowering women and children in the sex trade to be liberated and restoredAs fellow brothers and sisters in Christ we reach out to women in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that are in the sex trade. We routinely send outreach teams to visit massage parlours in Scarborough, Etobicoke, and North York. We also provide job skills training, personal counselling, social service referral, and support for exiting the sex trade.
MEET THE TEAM
Pastor Joanna Yee | Program Founder & Director
Joanna graduated from Tyndale Seminary in 2010 with a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies. The Lord has made her aware of the marginalized people in society, and she was convinced that the gospel of Jesus Christ is carried out in both words and deeds. The parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matt 25: 31- 46) commands us to serve the least in the society. These are words which Joanna takes to heart.
Fiona Lee | Associated Director
Fiona joined the Rahab Ministry staff after serving as a volunteer since 2010. She has dedicated herself to serve and evangelize to the marginalized and broken population in the community, especially young women, youth and their families who are impacted by the sex trade. As an experienced social services worker, she offers her social services knowledge and skills to help the ministry’s development.
Caroline Co Chien | Chinese Ministry Worker
Caroline’s passion for the vulnerable was drawn by the love and compassion of Jesus Christ for the underprivileged and disdained. Her experiences with the vulnerable drove her desire to volunteer at Rahab Ministry and now as a full time Chinese Ministry Worker, reaching out to sex workers in the GTA, building relationships with those who are impacted by or in imminent risk of entering the sex trade.
Rahab Ministry operates as a program under Youth Unlimited. For over 65 years, Youth Unlimited (Toronto YFC) has been imparting God’s love, truth, and hope to young people from all walks of life regardless of race, faith, economic level, or cultural background.
